During #Ottawa’s freakishly warm week in March the spring flowers sprung early. The Sunday of that week I took this photo of someone’s garden long Somerset Street East. It was later picked up as @OttawaStart’s featured photo!

On a walk earlier this spring, I came across a patch of grass that was carpeted with tiny blue wood squills, also known as scilla siberica.

Finding the interesting in the mundane.

I found it strange that the forsythia bush blooms before the budding leaves open, but I’ve since learned from @GreenAndPinko that it is the harbinger if spring.
